Bone Weight & Body Weight: Understanding the Relationship
QuestionHi Julia,
I've read that total bone weight for a 'normal' person constitutes approx 15 of the total body weight. Is it possible that for some people the bone weight could be significantly higher? (Why I ask is because I used to have a friend who although being thin used to weigh more than another friend who looked heavier than her and the thin one attributed it to herself having 'harder' bones.)
Thanks!
Mirin
AnswerMakes logical sense. I do not prefer that my readers weigh themselves too often because the scale is only the measure of mass, not of actions, choices, consistency....I would rather a person focus on what they are doing and KEEP doing knowing in the long run they will look great, regardless of what the scales measure is, and be healthier!
