Lap Band Surgery After Failed Gastric Bypass: Insurance & Outcomes

Have you heard of a client that had their stomached stapled and after its failure had the lapband surgery? Also, in your experience does insurance normally pay in this situation?

This procedure of putting a Band on a previously stapled stomach is being practiced by a number of surgeons.  The procedure seems to be safe, but the effectiveness seems limited.

To my knowledge, insurance does not cover that type of procedure.
