Oxidized Silver & Nickel Allergies: Will It Turn Green?

Hello,

A friend was planning to make me a ring with an antique silver oxidized finish.

I'm allergic to nickel. We were wondering if the finish would turn my finger green. :(

Hello Amanda and thank you for your inquiry. I'd like to tell you it wouldn't turn green, but there is a possiblity depending on the metal used in the ring. You could try coating the inside with clear nail polish. That will seal the finish and it may not effect you. Hope this helps !
