Rare Tourmalines with Internal Water: Value & Identification

Question
I have a 1kg yellow Tourmaline uncut crystal with water in
two places inside it and a 1.5kg black crystal with a sort
of pocket of water. I took them to a gemologist who said
both pieces were very rare and then wanted to buy them from
me. My question is I don't know what the black crystal is
and do they have any value?

Answer
Hi Genie,

It is not that unusual to have a gem material with water trapped in in it. I would advise you to store it in water as well as the black one. They can lose the water if it is in a dry environment or in hot dry weather. I guess the gemologist did not tell you what the black one is. I have no idea what the black one is without more information but I would suspect they both have value as specimens. Also probably some value if cut. Some photos would have helped, but yes they have value. Good Luck
