How many days before the wedding should you give the guests to respond to the invitation? (1 month, 3 weeks, or what is customary?)

Invitations should be mailed, at the very latest, 6 weeks prior to the event. Using this timeline, guests should respond at the very latest 2 weeks before the wedding date. If there are out-of-town guests, you will want to give them more time- at least a month- to prepare and respond.
