AnswerI sounds as if you might be dealing with either uterine or bladder prolapse.
Sometimes, as a result of the hormones of pregnancy, which stretch ligaments, as well as the propulsive forces of labor and delivery, the ligaments that hold either the bladder and/or uterus in position become too lax. When this occurs, the organ will drop down and sag into the vaginal wall.
Some women have success with Kegel exercises, which strengthen pelvic floor muscles. However, if the prolapse is severe, or causing pain or urinary incontinence, either a pessary, or surgery, is recommended.
A pessary is a small ring-shaped device that is placed at the top of the vagina, which helps to hold the organ(s) in the proper position. If a pessary does not solve the problem, then surgery is the last option.
Generally, for surgical repair of prolapse, the OBGYN will use the patients own tissues to create a sling for the dropped organ to rest upon, so that it can not fall down into the vagina.
Make an appointment with your OBGYN to ascertain whether or not your problem is related to prolapse. Though I am not a medical professional, I have never heard of prolapse going away on its own.
You should try the exercise option first, to see if this solves your problem. For details on how to perform Kegel exercises for your pelvic floor muscles go to: http://befitmom.com/pelvic.html
If this does not resolve the issue, try a pessary. Lastly, consider, surgical repair.
