Nipple Scabbing in Early Pregnancy: Causes & What to Expect

Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to read my question...My name is Jasmine I am 11 weeks & 4 Days pregnant and keep getting these darker little bits of skin that look like a dried scab or something on my aresols, do you know why this is..?? some women say it's because my body is getting ready to breastfeed but isn't 11 weeks a bit too early..?? I have never breastfeed before as this is my first baby, Do you know if there is anything I can do to prevent it because I cream my body 3 times a day so I definitely know my skin is not dry I Only have them around my nipple..when in the shower i can pick off some of them with my nail but it's quiet hard to do as my nipples are sore, do you think it's just my hormones being messed up from pregnancy..

Hyper-pigmentation is a common side effect of the hormones of pregnancy. You might find that as your pregnancy continues, that your mid line will darken too. Don't try to pick off the skin, if it flakes off naturally that's fine. You'll find that after pregnancy, that your skin will return to normal.
