AnswerHello Padmini from Sri Lanka,
I think you are being led astray. Your biggest problem at this point is your age (39). Even with IUI, you only have a 3-5% chance of pregnancy per month due to your age. The problem is that the eggs deteriorate in quality over time. A woman is born with all the eggs that she is going to have for your lifetime. In addition, having been married for such a long time, there is definitely something wrong that prevented you from getting pregnant naturally. Therefore, I would not recommend a "natural" method like IUI to get pregnant. It does not overcome whatever problem there was before. My recommendations would be to proceed to IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). It is the best method for your age. In the U.S., you would have a 50-60% chance of pregnancy per attempt. That is much better than the 3-5% with IUI.
In terms of mature eggs, the eggs mature as the follicles are stimulated and grow. With the proper ovarian stimulation, the eggs will grow and mature. I know that medical care is probably limited in Sri Lanka, but you need to find a good Infertility specialist.
