QuestionHello I've been trying for about a year now. And it just don't seem to happen I've he'd a test and they told me that my sperm am low so is there any thing I can do apart from finding a doner
AnswerHello Jonny from the U.K.,
The definition of infertility is the inability to achieve pregnancy within 12 months. Once your fit this profile, you should undergo infertility testing. I recommend that you have all the tests and not just one or two. The reason is that in 33% of cases there are more than one problem and in 33% of cases the problem is in the male and the female. The more problems there are, the harder it is to become pregnant by natural means and the more aggressive the treatment recommendation.
If the semen analysis were abnormal, there are various options without having to use donor sperm. It depends on how bad the sperm is. Even with the lowest counts, ICSI in conjunction with IVF can be used. We can even extract sperm directly from the testicle if there is no sperm in the analysis. Since you have not given me any specific information, I cannot give you any specific recommendations, but you should know that you have options.
