QuestionI am 30 years old and have been ttc for 12 months. This month is our first time doing monitored ovulation induction (three previous cycles I just took clomid but with not monitoring). At my day 12 ultrasound I had three mature follicles all 24mm. I was instructed to do my trigger shot and have intercourse. What are my chances of conceiving in general or conceiving multiples?

I think your instructions were appropriate and the timing correct. Because you are using intercourse, the chances of pregnancy are slightly higher than your natural chances at the age of 30. Your natural chances would be 15% per month, so the controlled ovarian hyperstimulation chances would be 20%. There is still a lot of steps that your body has to go through to get pregnant so that is why the chances are still limited. The chances of a twin gestation is 12% and the chances of a triplet is less than 5%. Remember that these are only statistics and are a reflection of reality, not a prediction of what will happen. The range for the multiples is 0 to 100%. No one can know where you will fall within this range.
