Food Poisoning Diagnosis: X-rays, CAT Scans & Reporting Options

Question
Is food poisoning diagnosed properly with chest xrays and partial upper body CAT scans?  In other words, can information pertinent to food poisoning be garnered from xray and CAT scans?  If the xray and CAT scan weren't necessary, who do I report this too?  I don't have medical insurance.  Thanks.

Answer
Dear Finn,

I don't know what symptoms you presented with.  Usually food poisoning reveals symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, possible dehydration.

You have a right to know why these tests were performed.

Go to the web and search under food poisoning.  There you will find, signs, symptoms, tests and treatments.

If you then feel you were unjustly charged for testing that was not  reasonable, you may want to discuss this with the administration of the facility that performed these tests and the physician that ordered them..  As a patient who have the right to ask questions and be advised regarding  your medical care.
