Understanding Enlarged Legs: Causes and Potential Solutions

Question
I have run out of keyword phrases in searching to find out what this is for my daughter, and am hoping you can help, or at least point me in a direction.  My daughter is 31, mother of 6-year old twins, and is technically overweight.  The majority of the weight, however, is in both her legs, which are VERY big in diameter all the way up and down.  They are noticeably out of proportion to the rest of her.  This is a fairly recent development, that has steadily worsened since the birth of her twins.  She walks 2 1/2 miles every weekday (when at her office) and is very active on their ranch on the weekends.  She doesn't overeat and doesn't gain weight elsewhere, but this is strange.  Her regular doctor just says, "You need to work out."  No help there.  Can you tell me anything at all about this?  She doesn't have enough spare time to investigate further and has asked me about it.  Thank you.

Answer
that is a tough question to answer over the internet without seeing someone..... I would worry about lymph fluid return from her legs... to see if this enlarging of her legs is fluid retention.... I would bring that up with her doctor... good luck with it
