Understanding Male Pattern Baldness: Testosterone, DHT & Natural Processes
QuestionIt is my understanding that testosterone turning into HDT in higher amounts is the primary reason men suffer from male pattern balding? How "natural" a process is this? I mean it seems when I look at most other people that few suffer from this kind of hair loss on what seems to be a continuous basis. Is this a result of a person's hormones being out of wack or a result of their hormones changing in a way that was completely according to plan? Surely balding has no evolutionary purpose? Something must be all screwed up in me and other guys that loss their hair that is consider abnormal as far as what could be a more health internal balance? Also does this HDT accumulate on the scalp causing the problem or is it caused much more internally? I started using a cidar vinegar conditioner to hopefully keep my scalp clean of anything of that sort.
Answerthere are only vague theories on baldness, other than genetic tendencies.... typically the man follows the maternal grandfather's pattern..... but simply manipulating testosterone or metabolites has not been shown to be that effective.... there are other factors.
