Understanding Delayed Labor: When to Expect Your Baby

I am 37 weeks pregnant and i am due in 3 weeks. i still have not dialted nor has my cervix effaced any, does that mean the baby is not coming any time soon?

Unfortunately, there is no little crystal ball to tell us when babies come. It doesn't sound like it will happen today! Tomorrow..... maybe. (I'm just kidding with you.) Sometimes women can be 4cm dilated and still walk around for another 2 weeks. It all depends when your baby is ready to come. There also is nothing you can do to put yourself in labor. My best advice right now is to rest. It will happen when it happens. Good luck to you.
