Massage Therapy and Ovarian Cancer: Safety and Potential Benefits

I'm student in a massage therapy course.  I'm doing a paper on ovarian cancer and was wondering in it is contraindicated or indicated

Hi Cammie,

They used to tell massage therapists that doing massage on anyone with cancer was contraindicated. Mainly because you would pose the risk of spreading the cancer further throughout the body. However recent studies have shown that a person moves more blood & fluids through the body by just walking or exercising than an actual massage would therefore making massage NOT contraindicated.
