QuestionQUESTION: Hi,I am fed up with my dull & darken underarms. Will u suggest me anything on it & which is easily available. Thanks in advance.
ANSWER: Hello Deep,
Can you please precise your question as I do not understand really what the problem is. When you refer to underarm, do you mean armpits? and if yes, please indicate if you do waxing.
Just let me know and I'll do my best to help you.

QUESTION: Yes I mean armpit. And i do waxing once in a month over armpit area.
AnswerHello Deep,
I've had someone else from India reporting the exact same problem. Here is what I replied:
Your underarm area is a very sensitive one, so that may be why your skin is darkening and becoming dull only there and not anywhere else.
Before I tell you what you could do to fix this hyperpigmentation, I highly recommend you to reevaluate which product you use to do waxing as you may need to change it for something either more gentle and/or more natural at least for the armpit.
Meanwhile, you could do green clay poultices (it may sound difficult, but I'm sure you can find a way to do it if you're motivated). Green Clay will help to "de-stress" your skin and rebalance it. Do it once a week for 2 months. Apply a thick layer of clay paste for 30 min, then rinse well and moisturize. Everyday, use a little bit of Wild Musk Rose oil in the evening as a healing and regenerating moisturizer. Wild Musk Rose oil contains natural retin-A which is an active ingredient against hyperpigmentation. You may also want to see a dermatologist who can prescribe retin-A ointments, however, be aware that these prescription drugs have strong side effects.
Finally, if it's really important for you to get rid of this problem fast, you can always do laser which also helps with hyperpigmentation. But you will need quite a few sessions, which can be costly. I would not advise any of the whitening products which seem to be so popular in India today, especially the ones containing hydroquinone which is very toxic.
As usual, please consider revising your diet in the sense of less processed and heavy foods, and more greens and fruits. Your skin may be reacting this way because of internal pollution. Drink less alcohol and more pure water and good quality tea. Remember that in the 5 elements Chinese medicine, the skin is linked to the Metal element which drives the lungs and large intestine meridians. So watch for your large intestine health and do breathing exercises. On the long run, that will pay off a lot, trust me.
