Highlights for Dark Brown Hair: A Teenager's Guide & Advice

Hello, I'm wondering whether or not to get highlights in my hair, I'm 16, I've got (dark-)brown hair, and I've never done anything like this before!

So, should I do it? I'd like to have it similar to the hair in these pictures:

 You can certainly get a similar look to the pictures you chose. Just be sore to have it done professionally. Trying something like this yourself or letting a friend do it for you is a recipe for disaster and much more difficult to fix when it goes wrong. Better to do it right the first time.
