Straightening Hair with Color Spray: Risks & Damage Prevention

It's not recommended to straighten your hair while it has temporary color spray in it. Here's why:

* Heat damage: Temporary color spray can contain alcohol and other drying agents. Applying heat from a straightener on top of this can further dry out your hair and lead to damage, breakage, and split ends.

* Uneven results: The spray might not be evenly distributed, causing the color to fade unevenly when heat is applied. You might end up with streaks or blotches of color.

* Color transfer: The heat can cause the color to transfer to your styling tools and even onto your clothing.

Instead of straightening, try:

* Air drying: Let your hair air dry completely, which will minimize heat damage.

* Braiding or twisting: These styles can help create waves or curls without using heat.

* Using a diffuser: If you must use heat, use a diffuser attachment on your blow dryer to distribute heat more evenly and minimize damage.

Important note: Always follow the instructions on the temporary color spray product and consult your hairdresser if you have any concerns about using heat on your hair.
