Temporary Hair Dye & Dark Hair: Can You Get Bleach Blonde?

It's highly unlikely that a brunette with darker brown hair dye can achieve bleach blonde with temporary hair dye. Here's why:

* Temporary dye works on the surface of the hair: It doesn't penetrate the hair shaft like permanent dye. This means it can't lighten the natural pigment of your hair.

* Darker hair requires more significant lightening: To achieve bleach blonde, the melanin (pigment) in your hair needs to be lifted considerably. Temporary dye simply won't have the strength to do this.

* Temporary dye fades quickly: Even if you found a temporary dye that could lighten your hair to some extent, it would wash out quickly, making it difficult to achieve a lasting blonde effect.

What you could try instead:

* Use a temporary color spray or chalk: These can add a temporary blonde hue to your hair, but it will be more of a subtle change than a full-blown transformation.

* Consider a semi-permanent dye: These dyes penetrate the hair shaft more than temporary dyes and can achieve a lighter shade, but they still won't be as effective as permanent dyes.

* Visit a professional salon: If you want to achieve bleach blonde hair, a professional stylist can safely and effectively lighten your hair with bleach.

Important note: Bleaching your hair can be damaging, so it's always best to consult with a professional before attempting it yourself.
