Dark Hair Color Change: Advice for Dirty Blonde Hair?
QuestionI have natural dirty blonde hair, with a tad bit of highlights. It is just below the shoulders and i have side sweep bangs. I want something different for my school play, graduation, and my Confirmation. Should I go a darker shade? My eyebrows match my natural color, dirty blonde, so I'm afraid if I go any darker it'll look weird because my eyebrows won't match. ANY ADVISE?!
Answeri would say no to an all over color change. if you are interested in darkening, get lowlights put in by a trained professional colorist. this is a process that puts streaks of darker browns into the natural color, but leaves most of the color as it is.another option is a highlight/lowlight, which puts in darker and lighter alternating shades to make a more dimensional, natural color change.both will be a prettier end result, as i have experienced many young women who think they want to be darker-until they are all over darker- then they want it right back out. it's not that easy to erase, and ends up damaging the hair needlessly. a more realistic and pretty result is from lowlighting, then your brows and everything will still look good with the slightly deepened color.
