AnswerDo you have all the guards? The best way to give a proper fade is to go biggest, smaller, smaller,smaller until you reach your goal for example if they want a 2 on top with a skin fade start with the two then go 1 1/2, 1A, 1, 0A, 000, etc.. notice the pattern of smaller and more smaller. Also what I find helpful is to go back with each blade or guard and go over the entire head again the 2, 11/2, on down this will take any small lines that you may have missed also it will make the fade look more clean. One more thing I don't know where you cut but you should use a mirror during your fades the mirror shows thing from a distance so if your up close cutting a head you will not always see the line but if you look in the mirror you will see the lines THE MIRROR NEVER LIES so use it!
