Comprehensive Skincare Guide for Every Age: Tips & Routine

As we start aging our skin also begins to age. Its requirement change and it is important to take care of these. Though increase in age cannot be done anything about, one can definitely slower the pace at which your skin ages.

Here are some skin care tips for all—from teens to those in 50’s.

Skin care for teenagers:

  • Cleanse you face: Use a gentle cleanser to wipe your face and remove all the excess oil.
  • Do not use harsh soaps as this will cause irritation to your skin.
  • Scrub your face: Scrubbing removes dead skin but if your skin is prone to acne then use a scrub with softer beads as this will loosen up the dead skin
  • Use a toner: Toner helps to balance the ph level. It will close all the pores and help in circulation
  • Moisturize your skin: Always moisturize after you wash and dry your skin.
  • Use a sunscreen of at least spf 15.
  • Never apply too much makeup as in this stage skin is prone to acne.
  • Make sure to remove all the makeup before you hit the sack. Any makeup trace left on your face will result in outbreak.

 Skincare in 20’s:

The skin is glowing in 20’s. Let’s say it’s at its very best. But women face certain problems in 20’s that should be taken care of without any delay.

Dark circles: Due to stress and work pressure dark circles seem a problem so always try and relax your eyes when you are in stress. For at least 5 minutes close your eyes and let your eyes rest. Get enough sleep and eat fresh vegetables and fruits.

Pigmentation:Your skin may start getting dark patches which is due to pigmentation caused by the UV rays .A sunscreen is a must to apply in this stage not only while stepping out but also at home a while sitting in front of the computer as these rays will also damage your skin.

Fine lines and wrinkles:Some of you may notice fine lines and wrinkles so use anti–aging creams.

Skincare in 30’s:

  • In the 30’s the first signs of aging appears around the neck, mouth and eyes.
  • Along with a sunscreen always use extra moisturizer to hydrate the skin as in this age skin tends to get drier.
  • Protect the skin around the eyes by using some eye treatment gels.
  • Exfoliate once or twice a week as the cell turnover is slowing.
  • Use anti aging creams regularly.

 Skincare in 40’s

  • The skin dries up as you age. Also it tends to loosen up and loses its firmness as the skin’s elasticity reduces.
  • Use a night cream which will replenish and hydrate your skin.
  • Exfoliate a little more often.
  • Use a moisturizer that you have used in your 30’s.
  • Eye creams is the best to use in this age.
  • Use anti aging creams everyday without missing a single day.
  • In this age skin becomes dull use a cream rich in vitamin C.

In 50’sand later the same skin care regime should be followed.

Remember aging is inevitable but it is important to age beautifully!
