Vintage eye makeup can be a classic look to try out for parties and night outs. Even for a wedding function or a day out with friends for shopping, vintage eye makeup can be just as awesome as a cherry on a cake!
Today I will show you how to do a triple winged bronze vintage eye makeup look.
I will keep the bronze shadow very light instead of a darker shade. This is because we will be focusing on drawing the triple wings, not on the eye shadow colour. If the shadow colour is darker or there is a smokey effect to it, then the wings may not be prominently visible.
Some simple and easy things that you will need for this winged eyeliner makeup look are as follows:
For completion of the look, a dark lip liner with a red lipstick and a little blusher are needed.
On clean eye lids, apply concealer and foundation. Follow it up with a compact for a flawless texture.
Apply the shimmer bronze shadow on the lid. Avoid the crease and avoid doing any extensions of the eye shadow. Use the silver highlighter on the brow bones, eye nose junction and crease. Do not form any extensions.
Time for liner application. Draw a small line with the liquid liner starting from the side of your nose.
Extend the line to cover the lash line for a proper definition. Use small strokes of liquid liner for a smooth finish. Swipe the tail little towards the top at the end.
Broaden the line and extend the end swipe of the wing towards the top.
From the space left just below the upper wing, draw a clear outline for the middle wing. We will fill in the colour later. First concentrate on drawing the outline only.
Tip: If you will carefully notice in the picture above the upper wing’s extreme end was a bit broad, where as in the picture below, it’s properly defined. This is done with a white liner pencil. You can use a white liner pencil for correcting any unwanted lines. After each use, you need to clean the white liner’s tip on a tissue paper or cotton ball because it will absorb some black colour. If you use it again with the black colour on its tip, it will smudge your liner. Hope I made myself clear.
Fill in the space left at the middle of the middle wing with black liner.
Use black liner pencil or a kajal for the lower rim.
Take your liquid liner again and extend the lower rim’s tail into a straight line. This will be your third wing.
If there are any imperfections, correct them with the white liner pencil. Take your liquid liner once again and join the end of the top liner with that of the bottom.
Here is how the eye makeup should look after following this step.
Use a mascara to define your eyes.
Comb out the lashes.
Use a lash curler, if curling is required.
Finish your look with blush, a red liner and rich, dark red lipstick for that ultimate vintage feel. A bronze or metallic nail polish can also enhance the overall look.
