It has the consistency of light oil. A drop of it spreads-

It’s a bit tricky to apply, if you use a drop straight from the bottle it spreads, you’re best dropping it on a clean brush to apply. Once it dries it leaves a tacky finish.
So it has three suggested uses- under, on top of and mixed with eye shadow. Under eye shadow it works ok. It’s tacky surface seemed to hold the shadow. But by the end of the day my shadow had all huddled together in a line. But then I am made of pure oil, it might work great on you.
On top of shadow is a no no. It ruins your makeup. It sounds like a bad idea and it is.
Mixed with shadow, on the other hand, does work. It intensifies the colour. I used it with Urban Decays Chopper-
The colour is more intense, defined and metallic. It keeps it in place too. It’s great if you want to do glittery or metallic eye makeup.
Aqua Seal is an unusual eye primer. It might take me a while to get to grips with it. I tried it as a primer for my under eye concealer, because it’s thin and moist. It worked rather well.
Overview
Makeup Revolution Aqua Seal eye primer is funny runny stuff. I would recommend getting it, particularly if you like wearing eye shadow. I’ve enjoyed playing about with it. And it’s only £3! 6/10
