'Snow White and the Huntsman' hottie, actress Kristen Stewart has inspired girls all over the world with her relaxed style and now the actress who agreed to be the face of Balenciaga's Florabotanica fragrance, opens up to her fans about what drew her to the scent, so find out what she had to say!
After she landed the role of Bella in the hit movie 'Twilight',
actress Kristen Stewart
sky-rocketed to fame and her interesting style and natural beauty
seem to have captured Nicolas Ghesquière's attention as the
designer tapped the hottie to become the face of Balenciaga's new
fragrance 'Florabotanica'.
The 'Snow White and the Huntsman' actress was never too keen on
embarking on product endorsement deals, but it seems that something
attracted her to the fragrance, as she agreed to be the new face of
the upcoming perfume, which is due to hit the shelves this
September. According to an interview Ms. Stewart gave WWD, she's
quite the fan of Balenciaga as she
confessed:
“I’m very lucky that I like the fragrance, because I would have
done anything with [Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière]. And
I’m a terrible liar.”
Her all relaxed, carefree style and her ability to morph into character easily, looking as comfortable in a pair of high top sneakers, a pair or shorts and a simple T-shirt as she does in an all glam evening gown, made her the perfect choice for the fragrance, despite the fact that 'on a base level, the reason you want to wear a fragrance is because you want to smell attractive. That in itself is a pretty mature idea, especially considering the teenager I was. I was never the one wearing my mom’s perfume and trying to be sexy. I was like hanging out with my brothers and doing the opposite of that', the actress says.
The fact that she wasn't all that into expressing herself through
fragrance, Kristen says that she was relieved by the fact that her
olfactory senses were conquered from the first time she smelled the
'Balenciaga juice'. What attracted her to it? Apparently, its
naturalness, as Kristen said:
“There is something natural about it. It’s very alive. I think that
as a young person wearing it — considering that I’ve never worn a
scent — it kind of puts you on this level of, like, ‘Whoa, check me
out.’?”
The scent aims to draw a more youthful public to the label,
bringing a mix or floral scents that clash to deliver a unique
scent. Florabotanica's ad campaign which will feature Kristen, is
probably going to take an artistic turn as the actress said:
“Even though, yes, it’s an ad and we’re selling a fragrance — I
don’t want to sound pretentious — but I want to be part of this art
project.”
Florabotanica will hit the shelves this September, so keep an eye
out for the fragrance and find out if this scent will be your new
signature perfume!
