What is Micro-Channeling?
Micro-channeling is a safe, pain-free procedure for stimulating collagen production in a patient’s skin. Collagen contributes to skin's strength and elasticity, and the loss of collagen produces wrinkles that accompany aging.
Micro-channeling spurs collagen production by making tiny punctures in the skin with fine needles. These needles make small channels in the skin without reaching the capillaries or nerves, ensuring no bleeding or pain. Creating punctures releases growth factors that promote scarless healing and signal the body to produce collagen.
Benefits of Micro-Channeling
Micro-channeling is a pain free procedure to combat the effects of aging. It has virtually no downtime, and patients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment. Micro-channeling can produce a similar effect to fractional laser treatments, but at a lower cost with fewer potential side effects. Serum Infusion
The micro-channels left by DermaFrac provide a pathway for deeper penetration of topical serums. To exploit this effect, DermaFrac has a built in system for injecting serums through the micro-channels. Four serums are available for the DermaFrac, including:
Anti-Aging Solution � A cocktail of 5 peptides that encourage collagen production.
Hydrating Solution - Calms and hydrates skin with hyaluronic acid and antioxidants.
Acne Solution - Exfoliates, opens clogged pores and fights acne causing bacteria with salicylic and lactic acids.
Lightening Solution - Contains kojic acid, a natural lightening ingredient with fewer complications than hydroquinone.
Microdermabrasion
Select models of the DermaFrac can perform microdermabrasion, a procedure for minimizing scars and wrinkles by removing the outermost layer of dead skin. DermaFrac's microdermabrasion system eliminates the use of crystals and other mediums with a reusable exfoliating pad. During treatment, a vacuum pulls skin to the pad which exfoliates dead skin cells on the surface. The operator controls the depth of exfoliation with the speed of the handpiece, choice of pad, and number of passes over the skin.
LED Therapy
A true all-in-one device, the DermaFrac includes settings for LED light therapy. LED light therapy is a non-invasive procedure that uses safe, LED lights to treat various skin conditions. The DermaFrac LED system creates 3 colors of light to treat specific conditions:
Red - Lessens skin inflammation.
Yellow - Assists in collagen production.
Blue - Prevents acne breakouts.
At 134mw/cm, the DermaFrac LED system surpasses the strength of comparable devices. DermaFrac LEDs come equipped with the Cool-Breeze(tm) air cooling system for reducing patient discomfort, even under high energy output.
