Le Creuset Care: Simple Cleaning Guide for Cast Iron & Enameled Cookware

Le Creuset offers a line of steel, enameled cast iron and stoneware pots designed to provide even heat conduction, whether they're used on a stovetop or in the oven. Regardless of the material, Le Creuset pots do not require any special products for cleaning beyond hot water and dish soap.

  • Empty any leftover food from the pot into a container or the trash.

  • Rinse the cooled pot with hot water. Apply a few drops of dish soap and fill the pot with hot water. Allow it to soak for 10 to 15 minutes for stuck-on food residue.

  • Scrub the inside of the Le Creuset pot with a nonabrasive pad. Scrub the outside of the pot and the handles if necessary.

  • Rinse the Le Creuset pot with clean water and dry it thoroughly with a towel.
