Angora fiber comes from angora rabbits. The soft, lofty fiber is revered for its warmth and beauty. The best way to keep an angora blanket or sweater from shedding is to purchase the best-quality item you can afford. Better-quality angora items are usually woven or knit at a tighter gauge, and smaller gauges tend to shed less frequently. If you already own an item that sheds, eliminating the shedding will make the garment more pleasant to wear
Spread the sweater or blanket out on a flat surface and smooth it out.
Run the lint brush all over the surface to remove loose fibers.
Turn the item over and use the lint brush a second time.
Fold the angora item and place it in the plastic bag. Zip the bag closed.
Place the bag in the freezer and leave it there for at least 12 hours. The cold will cause the angora fibers to lock together and prevent shedding while you are wearing the garment. Return the garment to the freezer when you are done so it is ready to wear the next time you need it.
