The Dyna-Glo Pro is a high-heat kerosene heater commonly used to heat garages or rooms during renovations where you must turn off the heat to the home. The Dyna-Glo Pro is constructed in a tubular design and not an upright canister commonly found on home heating units. The operation of the Dyna-Glo Pro differs from most traditional kerosene heaters because the Dyna-Glo Pro does not use a wick and open flame. It uses a pilot and an electrical source to control the flame.
Remove the fuel cap located on the top side of the fuel tank and fill the tank with kerosene or fuel oil. Stop when the tank gauge shows the tank is full. The tank gauge is located next to the fuel cap. Place the cap back onto the tank once filled.
Plug the heater into an extension cord that measures no less than 6 feet in length. Plug that extension cord into the electrical outlet. You must use a grounded, three-prong, 110-volt outlet.
Open up ventilation in the room. For a double car garage, open both doors 6inches. For a single car garage, open the door 9 inches. For a room inside a building, open two windows 15 inches. This allows fumes from the heater to escape and allows fresh air into the room.
Turn the thermostat control knob to your desired temperature. Turn the BTU control knob to "High" or "Low." The BTU knob is located on model number KFA210TDGP-02 only.
Push the power switch to the "On" position. The heater will turn on and start to heat. When the room reaches the desired temperature, the heater will turn off and not turn back on until the temperature drops.
Do not run the heater next to any fuel source or combustible chemicals. The closer you get to the front of the heater, the hotter the heat will be. Make sure you position the back of the heater at least 1 foot away from the wall and make sure nothing is in front of the heater for at least 5 feet.
