Whether cooking is a joy or just another daily chore, cleanup can sometimes be more than you bargained for. No matter how hard you try to keep them clean, burner pans inevitably develop a layer of burnt-on food. Even wiping down the stove and burner pans on a daily basis can't totally prevent this buildup from happening. Thankfully, you can clean this unsightly mess in a safe and easy way, without the agony of harsh, toxic chemicals and their caustic fumes.
Mix four teaspoons of vinegar with four teaspoons of cream of tartar in a small bowl.
Dip a cotton ball in the cleaning solution and rub over the entire burner pan.
Allow the solution to penetrate the burner pan for five to 10 minutes.
Use a scouring pad to scrub the loosened residue free. Rinse in hot, soapy water.
