When your stove-top drip pans have cooked-on foods marring their surfaces, cooking suddenly becomes unpleasant. Not only will you fill your kitchen with obnoxious odors as the food on the drip pans burns, but your stove top is also an unsightly mess. Use baking soda and dishwashing detergent to remove stubborn drip pan stains and renew your stove top. In a short time, your stove top will be impeccably clean.
Place 1 cup of baking soda in a small bowl. Add enough dishwashing detergent to make a thick paste.
Remove the drip pans from the stove top and place them onto the baking sheet.
Slather the baking soda paste thickly over the drip pans to cover the surfaces of the drip pans thoroughly. Do not allow any soiled surface of the drip pans to go uncovered.
Allow the baking soda paste to work on the drip pans for approximately 15 minutes.
Scrub at the drip pans with the scouring pad. Continue scouring until all encrusted food residues come off.
Fill the sink with warm water and add dishwashing detergent to the water. Place the drip pans into the soapy water and wash them with the dish cloth to remove any remaining food.
Rinse the drip pans in clear water and dry them with the dish towel. Replace the drip pans in the stove top.
