Your wife starts complaining about shortage of commodities, in laws taunt you and children drag to for things. With these, you tend to feel a lot of pain in the head and you happily swallow a pill that is in your medi kit and take a nap.

Common Headache Types And Symptoms
1. Migranes – excessive heat or eye straining light (over watching TV, Xenon lamps of the vehicles) and imbalance in hormonal levels can be the causes for migrane headaches. The pain is often on one side of the headache leading the pain in the eyes, nausea, vomiting, tiredness, bitter taste in the mouth etc.
Although sleep can relieve migrane headaches, the severity requires medication. Yoga and music therapy may help.

2. Tension Headache – This type of headache is accompanied with pain in the neck and shoulder. The stressed muscles may carry the pressure to head leading heavyness in the head, temple and neck.
Office stress, financial problems and many tension causing cases can cause tension headaches. Over drinking of alcohol, coffee can increase the intensity of the pain.

3. Cluster Headaches – Not as common as the two above. As the name, the headache occurs in the short bursts and lead to teary eyes, droopy eye lids, restlessness etc. It is reported to occur due to the vascular changes in the brain.Medication is necessary for this type of headache.

There are other types of headaches that are caused during root canal problems, acidity, empty stomach, scalp dryness, over exposure to sunlight etc. which can treated by a painkiller or home remedies. One of the safest ways to cope up with headache is oil scalp, neck and shoulders with warm oil and take hot water bath, ginger and turmeric paste can bring relief. Oils like eucalyptus, camphor are quite effective.
