  • If your job doesn't permit you to take long breaks then take a 3 or 4 days trip to a nearby location. If cannot afford to go to an exotic location then just pack off to the nearest beach or hill resort for the week end.
  • You can also ask your family to accompany you for your official trips so that you have a mix of work and pleasure. But make sure you find time to spend with your family despite your busy schedule or else it would be pointless. Extend your trip for a day or two if required.
  • Drinking does not help you relax. Relaxation for health is necessary but alcohol will only numb your senses not relax you your mind. After a grueling day at work unwind with a steaming mug of green tea and some soft music. Eat your favorite food even if it is not included in your diet chart. It is alright to be irregular regularly.
  • Socialize but don't let your social life take over you. It is an important de stress tip to meet friends and socialize. However, our social mores are complex and often an active social life can in itself be stressful. It is better to stay clear of such complicated social relations as a part of your stress management techniques. Maintain good relations and comfortable distances from everyone I your circle.
  • Yoga for relaxation is hugely effective. In stead of going to the gym which you anyway try to avoid, do some meditation or power yoga.
