Fruit Consumption in Late 30s: Benefits and Considerations
QuestionIs it bad to eat lots of fruits (per day) for a woman in late 30's? (sugars)
Thank you
AnswerMace,
It depends on how you define 'lots'. Fruit is high in sugar but it is high in a kind of sugar that burns relatively slowly. More importantly fruit is full of fiber and lots of phytochemicals and anti-oxidants that keep you healthy. You should get several servings of fruits everyday. It's best to try and eat different colored fruits. The color actually represents the kind of antioxidant protection that the fruit has - variety is key.
Short answer - no it's not bad - fruits are good - don't worry about the sugar directly from fruits. However, avoid too many fruit juices, those have all the sugar and not much of the fiber.
