Sugar Substitutes & Health: Exploring Stevia and Safety
QuestionI heard that sugar substitutes are NOT healthy & linked with Alzheimers. I would be very interested to hear your opinion on this. My 78 year old Dad uses sweet & low. Also Raleys sells one called saccharin sweetener. Thank you for your time. I appreciate it very much
AnswerStevia is the only sweetener without a list of damage done. It tends to be sold in a highly concentrated form and as a supplement. It has no calories.
Laws protecting producers of refined sugar are older than the US constitution, and when it gets legal to use stevia in products, I suspect evebody else will lose their shirts.
