Eggs and Health: How Many Can You Eat Safely?
QuestionHello
As I am sure you know, eggs have always been controversial but I have been eating them regularly for quite some time now and I do not have any serious medical conditions like high cholesterol, although I have high HDL which I hear is a good thing.
In addition, while eating eggs I have lost weight. So is there any reason to limit the number of eggs one eats in a week?
Thank you.
AnswerHi Christopher,
As long as you are cooking the eggs (because you can get food poisoning from raw eggs) and regularly having your cholesterol level checked, I can't think of a reason you need to limit your intake. Of course, I am also assuming you are talking about having one or two a day and not seven or eight! There's always the chance of getting "too much of a good thing".
