QuestionThank you for the response. I did not really want to drill holes because I was afraid I would break the stones in doing so. Can you tell me how to drill the holes safely? And do you know of any clamp type devise that could be glued on to make the pendant.
Thank you,
Gwen

Question -
I have some flat cut, 3-4mm in depth and 2-3 inch in length stones I want to use as pendants for necklaces. I tried using a bell cap; however, due to the flat sides of the stone, the bell cap does not fit snug enough to stay in place when glued. I would think some sort of end cap that is more of a clamp shape with two sides that would clamp then be glued on to the flat sides of the stone would be a good option. Does such an end cap exist? Or do you have any other suggests on how to prepare these flat cut stones as pendants?
Thank you for your assistance,
Gwen
Answer -
Dear Gwen,
Have you considered drilling holes in the ends then use jump rings or hinges?
Let me know if I can help.

AnswerDear Gwen,
What kind of stone do you have? and what exact shape?
Are they square, rectangle, round, oval? If you have bell caps that already fit. The best way to get them to stay on is to add a post in the center of the bell cap, then drill a hole for the post to be cemented in. This of course requires someone to solder in a post. I will check to see if I can find bell caps with posts in place already.
If you have e-mail send me your address so I can send you the information.
