QuestionDear Jackie:
I suffer from mild ache and as a result i have lots of open pores. Any advise on how to minimise them?
I was told that placing ice or a cold cloth over my face would help if done everyday. Any truth to this?
Also i do all the cleaning, moisturizing and still suffers from ache. Any advise will be grateful.
Thanks
Nareesha
AnswerHi Nareesha
The facial steam bath is very inexpensive and is a wonderful way to thoroughly deep clean your pores.
This is very awesome to help get rid of acne, whiteheads and blackheads.
You can do this steam bath up to twice a week. I wouldn't recommend it anymore than that.
When you first begin, take short breaths until you get used to breathing the steam.
Steam the skin for five to seven minutes by positing your face 25 centimeters above the bowl filled with boiling water. Add a few drops of chamomile oil (soothes), or a couple of tea bags, or lavender (acts as a mild antiseptic) to the water.
Drape a large bath towel over your head and set a timer.
Steam your face for 15 minutes. When done, rinse with cold water to close your pores. Then follow with witch hazel which helps clean and close the pores.
Splash your face with ice cold water once a day to tighten pores and to increase circulation before stepping out. Toner also tighten pores.
If you need added information--let me know.
