Answer
Hello Kylee- your chances of eclampsia and pre-eclampsia are greater because you have all ready had it once. The very BEST treatment is nothing your dr has told you - I am quite sure. If you were MY midwifery client- I would advise you to make big changes in your food plan. You MUST eat LOTS of protein- eggs, meat, fish, chicken, nuts, low fat cheeses, skim milk, yogurt, soy products like tofu. Every 2 hours, while you are awake- you must nibble on PROTEIN. ALSO- do NOT eat sugar or flour- that means NO desserts, baking, candy, soda(even aspartame sweetened), sweets of any kind, NO fruit juices- eat only the WHOLE fruit AND only three pieces a day. NO pasta, regular bread, white rice, gravies, sauces etc. Bread- eat only sprouted grain bread, rice- only brown or wild. If you follow these guidelines, I seriouslly doubt that you will develop pre-eclampsia OR blood pressure problems with this pregnancy. You need to read- Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way by Susan McCutcheon AND Ina May's Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin. All the best- Cheri.
