Basal Body Temperature & Fertility: Understanding Temperature Changes

Question
i am 35  and my husband and i have no children  the first day of my last period was jan 18. we have been doing the basal temp. chart.. we have been trying for four years. does your temp seem to be elevated when u get pregnant

Answer
When you ovulate, your basal body temperature rises slightly. If you do become pregnant, the temperature stays elevated slightly. Usually, if you have not conceived, the temperature starts to drop as you approach your 28th day of the cycle. If you do not get your period when it is expected, wait an additional seven days and then take a pregnancy test. Good Luck.
