QuestionI am 56 years old with a complete hesterectomy approx. 6 years ago.
Now that I am retired, I've started exercising to get in shape and loose weight. I'm 156 lbs. and 5'4". However, I get so hot after only 5 mins. of aerobics that I am totally exhausted after 1 hour of aerobics. It takes two days of sleep and rest to recover. I feel like it's extreme heat exhaustion and my body is unable to control my body temperature. Is there a hormone or type of therapy I can take to help with this problem? Is bioidentical hormones helpful with this?
Where can I read further about this problem and does it have a name so I can research it further?
I have always been extremely active and really fear that this will totally debilitate me in the future.
AnswerHi Rose, I haven't heard about this kind of symptom before, so I do not know if it is related to hormones, although it of course wouldn't hurt to get them checked out. Exercise shouldn't make you exhausted, I'd see a doctor.
In addition, here are some websites that provide could information on both hysterectomies and menopause.
