Possible Causes of Lip Lesions: When to See a Doctor

Question
I am a 23 y/o female.  I am a virgin (a real one not a "sort of virgin").  In the last 6 weeks I have had what appear to be cold sores start to develop on my upper lip three times.  They don't burn, itch or hurt.  Then after 1.5 to 2.5 days they disappear. I've had no other symptoms.  HSV-1/2 come to mind but since the symptoms disappear so fast, I don't know if that's what it is.  Do you have any alternative suggestions of what it could be.

Also, My health insurance doesn't kick in until next month.  If I go seek a diagnosis/treatment, would it be considered a preexisting condition when my health insurance kicks in and  therefore treatment (if any) would not be covered.

Thank you in advance for any advice you could provide.

Answer
Sounds like non-genital herpes I
We have found these recurr more common in people with B-complex vitamin deficiency. To tell if you have this look in the mirror to see if you have the signs, wrinkles on your lips, darkness at the edge of your mouth and corner of the eyes, and notches on the sides of your tongue where the teeth fit.

We use the UN-WHO case finding kit and treatment which is
B-100 high dose B complex before each meal and at bedtime followed with food each time but ask your doctor.
