Understanding Hives: Causes, Symptoms, and When to See a Doctor
QuestionHi,
About 3 weeks ago I noticed I developed hives on my right shoulder and they went away in a couple of days, I didn't think anything of it because every year for some reason I get hives and they go away. However, a few days later I noticed a few hives on my left elbow area. Then after they went away I got one hive on my right forearm and left hand. I started getting concerned after those went away and a day or so later I noticed another set of hives developing on my left forearm and then lower back. Now the rash on my lower back is going away but noticed new hives on my left ankle area and another set that developed on my left elbow and upper arm. I checked for bed bugs and that isn't it and I do not remember eating anything out of the ordinary or coming into contact with anything different. Can you please tell me what this could possibly be or what I can do to figure it out because the constant string of hives is getting too much.
Thank you
Answerthis could be some kind of mite that is biting you like a bedbug.... hard to tell from your description..... you also said you get some hives on and off and could be allergic skin.... a couple pictures of easy to see bites would be helpful.... it might be time to get it checked. Does benadryl make it go away within hours?
