Best Massage Types for Cellulite Reduction & Circulation
QuestionWhat type of massage is effective for getting rid of cellulite? I tried the deep tissue, but it was uncomfortable. I am not overweight (5'4' 126 lbs), but I need help with circulation and smoothing of my thighs. What do you suggest?
I do work out several times a week.
Thanks
AnswerGood morning Ellen. Thank you for your question. Deep tissue massage is a specialized field and should not be used without very good cause and highly experienced practitioners. Getting rid of cellulite is not one of those reasons. Human females naturally carry a fair amount of cellulite around the thighs. That is normal and natural. If you interfer too much with that cellulite deposit-you risk problems with your monthly cycles. My female athletes who loose that layer of tissue are very highly trained and training for specific events. Such intense training interfers with their bodies something terrible. After competition and reduced training cycles-their bodies return to normal and that cellulite tissue returns. You must have it. It is very important for your general well-being. You might see females without that layer of cellulite-you won't see that for long. You cannot sustain that lose for long. Massage as a treatment is hopeless for cellulite. At best, all the massage will do is move it, but it will not force the cellulite out of your body. Don't spend any money trying to get rid of that cellulite. If you are training effectively, your body is regulating the amount of cellulite you personally need to enjoy your life style. I don't know if I answered your question or not-but if you would like to discuss this further-please feel free to contact me again. Cheers and good luck with your training. It is wonderful for me to receive messages about somebody training. That is music to my ears.
