QuestionCould you give me a short list of what the very best massage schools in the country are? I want to get the very best training I can, and am willing to travel to do so. I'm not positive where i'll end up practicing, probably either California or Florida eventually--but, mobility is also a priority. I've heard good things about the Boulder school and NHI in San Francisco... but what others are there?

Sounds like you have one foot out the door already!
My advice to you is follow your heart and listen to your instincts to which school is appropriate for you.
Back in 1994 I did the same thing as you with the exception I mailed massage therapists letters instead of emailing them.
The school I went to is no longer around, but I checked out several schools and "felt" the one I went to was appropriate for me. I use this word because I really feel "best" is subjective. You could have the "best" teachers, "best" campus and find out it's not the best for you.
The two schools you mentioned are highly recommended by many in the industry. As a side note however you could hand me a degree from Harvard and I would still request you massage me.
So take a deep breath and allow your intuition to guide you on your journey of what will cultivate your talents the "best"
