Lice and Hair Texture: Do Lice Prefer Straight or Curly Hair?

Lice don't really have a preference for straight or curly hair. What they care about more is having access to a warm scalp and being able to easily move around to feed. So, factors like hair hygiene (though lice aren't a sign of being dirty), how close the hair is to the scalp, and how easily they can grip the hair are more important.
