This girl right here LOVES a good beach vacay…send me somewhere I can hear the waves, feel sticky from the humidity, and it’s socially acceptable to have a cocktail in hand by noon and I am there NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
I love getting my bag all packed for this vibe of a vacation because it’s totally simplified. I love that I can, just do LESS.
So this post is my favorite beauty products that I HAVE to have when I know the plan is just to soak up the sun and play in the water. It’s a little bit of makeup, a little bit of easy hair styling products, and some sunscreen essentials- but all will keep you looking beach ready.
It’s sorta the “no makeup-makeup” vibe…Like “I woke up like this” even if you did a few steps to spruce up 😉
Let’s first chat what I use typically for a quick 10 minute or less makeup look. For me the most important parts to this look is LOTS of sunscreen, and very minimal but glowy and bronzy- sun kissed without the sun burn ya know?
I used these products EVERYDAY on my trip to Mexico, and they are perfect for reapply after you take a swim or before you head to dinner!
First and Foremost A nice base- to even out your skin tone and give you the perfect all over color!
this stuff can be worn as a primer or on it’s own it makes you look like you are the pretty snapchat filter! haha! Perfect for the beach!
I wore mine underneath my tinted moisturizer everyday.
I love my Houglass Brow pencil but I do think it’s a little more of a “full face of makeup” look.
This Bobbi Brown pencil is so easy to use and just fills in a little softer. And it’s water resistant- I jumped in the water with this and it stayed on! I have the color mahogany on 🙂
under the eyes, down the middle of noise, middle of forehead, cupids bow and on chin.
I have terrible bags under my eyes so this concealer IS SO BOMB to just brighten up under eye area and also add highlight to the other areas! I wear the shade “vanilla” and use a spritz of rose water on my beauty blender and just pat into the areas mentioned above. This adds brightening to all the right places!
I am SUPER picky when it comes to waterproof mascara, it has to be gentle enough to take off so I don’t feel like I am being too tough on my lashes if I wear it the whole vacation. This mascara is so easy to take off with micellar water but totally stays on while swimming! I curl my lashes first, add a few coats, let it dry a little then curl my lashes again and looks so natural but still done!
This might be my favorite step- I love a good bronzy glowy face especially when by the beach! These products are UNREAL AMAZING- like the BEST OF THE BEST!
first, I add my Hourglass bronzer to cheek bones, sides of my nose and a little on sides of forehead.
next, I do my cream Nars blush (this product is amazing because you can throw in beach bag and after swimming can reapply!) I just rub in with my finger!
If I want a little extra I add this Tarte blush on top just for a little extra rosiness!
lastly I highlight upper cheek bones, middle of nose, middle of forehead, cupids bow, and a little on chin. This Hourglass palette is TOO GOOD. I actually mix a little of all three shade for a great super glowy look!
I love that this Nars Blush stick can also be added to your lips- makes it SO easy when you need to do a touch up! Then this lip plumper is LEGIT insane- like it actually works! So perfect to just add a little something extra to your simple look!
I was mainly using my Supergoop mineral powder– I did the translucent shade just so it didn’t mess with my makeup when I reapplied throughout the whole day! It’s perfect to just have in your bag and can dust over face, neck and hands!
I also love this Dermalogica Age Smart Facial moisturizer– because it acts like a primer as well! SO perfect if you know you won’t bring this Supergoop one on the go you can just put put this under makeup!
Alright loves, now that we have chatted a little bit about makeup let’s talk hair products and go-to hair styles or accessories that help elevate your beach look!
I have the DRIEST hair ever- so packing a really hydrating shampoo, conditioner, and hair styling products is KEY. I also always pack a good dry shampoo and products to enhance my natural waves so I can just let my hair air dry- because let’s be honest, doing my hair sounds TERRIBLE on vacation! haha
This whole trip I did my hair in 5 minutes or less- I either added dry shampoo and a visor or fun little buns! Or I washed my hair, added my curly hair spray and did a top knot until it was more dry! Less is more when by the beach, babes!
One tip for when I use my curly hair products- the cream based one is what I kinda scrunch into all of my hair and the spray I just add when my hair is dry if it needs a little more product! If I don’t want to wait for my hair to air dry I use my little diffuser attachment and just scrunch and blow dry till it’s decently dry and styled! Super quick and easy!
