2.Surgical Excision – Surgery is also now also an option. The skin with the tattoo is taken off and is replaced by the another skin. This is a painful method and may leave a dark spot or mark. This surgery is like a plastic surgery which is an option for tattoo's done on a large area.
3.Intense Pulse Light – This removal method works on the method of laser treatment but is a less costly affair. A gel is applied on the tattoo area and then is placed under a wand. This emits high intensity light, which breaks the ink concentration. This enhances the body's speed to recover the normal skin colour.
4.Chemical Peel – In this method, a chemical is used to curb off the layer of the skin. Unlike other methods this is a slow process. The trichloroacetic acid is used to rub off the skin. In the process the after several sittings the top few layers of the skin is taken off with the acid and then gradually the tattoo disappears. The chemical peel treatment is also being done to take off scars, stretch marks etc.
