Monsoon is a difficult season , you suffer from considerably higher amount of hair loss, than usual , then rashes are also common since getting wet in the polluted rain does take a toll to your skin. And not to mention your makeup , which no matter how hard you try , tend to smudge away in the water to an unfortunately large extent .
So lets talk about some simple monsoon skin care tips for this season.
Don’t apply heavy makeup in monsoon. It can really spoil your day. Try applying light makeup and cosmetics starting from lips to eyes. Go in for nude colors and let your skin breathe the fresh air. The more makeup you use the more there is on your face to wash away and look terrible as it does. And then there is also more trouble fixing the stray makeup.
This is very important to moisturize your skin atleast once a day especially during the monsoon and if you have dry skin , make sure you follow a regime that gives a good massage plus moisturisation at night to get the best results.

Avoid cream based and lotion based foundations, since they tend to come off with monsoon rain blasts , and will also end up giving a shiny oily appearance , which obviously you don’ want . So go in for light gel based products which gets soaked into skin and stays long. You can also apply a calamine based cream base before putting on your makeup which will hold the makeup well. Suggestion would be Lacto Calamine according to your skin type.
Apply a good toner which is Ph balanced which will hold your makeup and keep your skin fresh all day long. Plus a toner removes all the remaining dirt from the skin reducing the chances of an infection or break out.
This season try some face fruit scrubs plus packs : how can you make one? It’s very simple , mash your favorite fruit like a ripe papaya , or strawberry or even tomato or cucumber pulp and combine it with granules of your face scrub. Massage very gently on to skin (EYES SHOULD BE CLOSED DURING THE WHOLE TIME IF POSSIBLE, OTHERWISE IF GRAINS GO INTO EYES, YOU MAY NEED TO CONTACT YOUR EYE DOCTOR) for about 6-7 minutes , let it rest on to skin for another 3-4 minutes , total time about 10 minutes and immediately wash off.
