* Partial regrowth: In some cases, particularly in children, there may be a small amount of regrowth if the amputation is very close to the fingertip and doesn't involve the nail bed. However, this regrowth is limited and won't restore the full length or original shape of the finger.
* Scarring: The wound will heal over with scar tissue.
* Surgical options: Depending on the severity of the amputation, reconstructive surgery may be an option to improve function or appearance.
